4 Copper Panels
© 2005
The College of Eastern Utah Prehistoric Museum requested proposals for public art around the museum. Built over two decades ago, nothing had ever been done with the alcoves on either side of both entrances of the museum. My proposal was accepted and I designed and constructed 4 copper panels, one for each alcove. Each textured copper panel is "punched" in the design of a petroglyph--prehistoric rock art-- in the local area. By day the panels are simply beautiful textured accents for the entrances. At night, when backlit, they add an understated elegance to the museum.
