The Storyteller
© 1998
Based on a petroglyph design from Wind River, Wyoming, the Storyteller is a design I fell in love with the first time I saw it. I interpret the design as a grandmother telling stories to her two granddaughters. They have the same basic form as the "grandmother" but it takes time and life and stories to create that wonderful complex body.
Sunlight coming through the glass brings the stories to life. This sculpture was purchased by the Downtown Development Authority of Grand Junction, CO. It has become a local landmark at the eastern end of their walking/shopping area on Main Street. steel and glass
